[Obm] basic installation problem: session data

Seems strange... what's you're operating system?
Could you try to update you're php to php 4.3.x ? I have seen some php 
bugs about sessions and php < 4.2.2
If you can't try to change the path where the sessions are stored in 
you're php.ini...
