[Obm] Default language in OBM 2.3

Hello all,

I'm upgrading my server and try to install obm 2.3.
I hit a problem with configuring obm-postfix and obm-cyrus
Now notice all messages in /var/log/messages are in french.
although I know a bit of french, unfortunately it is too little to
figure the problem out.
Is it possible to switch the logging and default language in obm to english?

For reference. I try to install the debian obm 2.3 packages under ubuntu 9.10.
Sofar I haven't run into severe problems, but does anyone know if this
is a no-no?
